1150806 2010-11-06 20:25:00 I have a THOMSON TG585v7 and I disable this user using the main control page of the router and he/she automatically allows them self back on the network. I'm sharing the internet with a neighbor but they have said they have no idea who that user is. I know I could joust change the password but I don't really want to.Has this user have some wifi cracking software? PC builder (15482)
1150807 2010-11-06 20:42:00 Change the password! What security type are you using WPA or WPA2? CliveM (6007)
1150808 2010-11-06 21:01:00 Sounds like they are logging into your router and enabling their connection in there? Change any passwords you have on both the router and the WPA.

x2. If you log into the router, it should provide you with the computer names of all connected clients.

1150810 2010-11-06 22:17:00 I find it very difficult to understand wireless users that do not either go through the proper
process or ask advice when setting up their wireless router.
If I use "connect" on my puppy linux i get 7 wireless networks in range and of those 4 are "open" and so mine and 2 others are the only 3 with protection.
It is not a matter of "disabling" someone it is for you to set up your protection using password protected WEP or WAP

Unfortunately that doesn't help in this case.
