Even though he did obtain some compensation from Gizmodo, Brian thought that it was so that they could review the phone . " says: Jeffrey Bornstein, attorney for Brian Hogan, 21, of Redwood City, who found Apple's lost prototype iPhone in a bar, had a friend make one call to AppleCare to try to report it, then, with the help of intermediaries, shopped it around to several tech news sites before giving it to Gizmodo in return for $5,000 . For the record, Bornstein said, his client works with church groups and charities and is "the kind of young man that any parent would be proud to have as their son . " Who were his parents? Bonnie and Clyde? |

I agree with Robert X Cringely (blogger) who says he "blew it by demanding cash for a gadget he clearly did not own. The smart play would have been to offer his story to Gizmodo for $5,000" |
