881250 2010-05-03 21:13:00 This is getting very strange. Our Family moved from Wanganui to Wellington to Strathmore Park and I went to Rongotai College before and during the Wgtn airport construction. The motor scrapers full of material went past with great regularity.

When I first married at age 24 we moved into a house in Kemp St.

How many degrees of separation is that? Actually there were only 10 families living in NZ in the 1940's - 50's. Immigration has a lot to answer for.

Amazing! The Brownie No.2 listed at the link is the model I described earlier, and the Brownie + Amp shows the optional amplifier.

The BBC logo stirred my memory and clinched the ID.

Somehow the epithets 'calm' and 'peaceful' do not align well with the robust character of Mrs T, but she does have soul, it is underneath her foot and I can feel it quite distinctly when she presses down on my neck. Actually she's a sweetie but definitely has robust moments when it is best to find something important to do elsewhere!

Yes, I do know Greg Cooney's site, it's a bit like the inside of an old-fashioned radio shop and you never know what you'll find when you flip over a page. He has an amazing collection, including a Ivalek/Bingo Crystal set, which demonstrates to all that he's a man of class and discriminating taste. As are all old radio collectors/restorers of course, though some do a fair impression of a grumpy old man until you touch on a subject near and dear to their heart.

Cheers
