Let me see now, 216 km/hr is 3 . 5 km/min so the bike would go past the cop at close to 60 metres/second . Allowing that the cop has very very good eyesight, and can read a plate at up to 30 metres away, he has 500 milliseconds to track, focus and recognise the plate details before it hits the limit of his vision . Yeah! Rather than chase, they definitely should get out pen and paper to write down the number cos all bikes have the right plates and current rego details on file . Personally I'd rather see the motorcyclist slice and dice himself through a barbed-fire fence than put anybody else at risk . It would be no loss to the global gene pool . Darwin is pretty reliable in these matters . Cheers Billy 8-{) :annoyed: |
