2010-11-10 08:02:00 | Ok, so the weirdest thing ever has happend to my PC. I'm running XP home and for some reason I cant start the ping command from the command interface. I can run it when I go Start > Run, but if I start up command.exe It just comes up with 'ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file Why!?

2010-11-10 08:06:00 | what if you run CMD instead of Command.exe? | Agent_24 (57) | |
2010-11-10 08:14:00 | That's what I do. Maybe I should try the full 'command.exe'. | pine-o-cleen (2955) | |
2010-11-10 08:15:00 | Just tried it, same thing, except for some odd reason, the word 'ping' comes back in caps in the error message, even though it was entered in lower case. | pine-o-cleen (2955) | |
2010-11-10 08:15:00 | Your Ping command may have gotten it knickers in a twist as to where it actually is. See if This answer (answers.yahoo.com) works / fixes it. A few more instructions (www.askmehelpdesk.com) -- I'd say the path to the ping.exe has gotten screwed up somehow.
