1151834 2010-11-10 07:06:00 I've got an Android tablet that needs flashing periodically with new FW . It is very picky with the boot/flash micro SD card format . I use the recommended HPUSBFW . exe ver 2 . 0 . 6 (later ver won't work) .

I'm trying to find out the format characteristics of SD cards to try and see how that format is different from ones that don't work .

Looking for a free utility that will analyse the format to, hopefully, answer the question .

Tried googling but can't seem to pin one down . Anyone with a utility that sounds like it might do the job, please?

1151835 2010-11-10 08:55:00 You may need a utility which checks what type of controller chip is on the sd cards... I can't think what the utility is called, but i will try... jareemon (5207)

1151837 2010-11-10 18:13:00 Basically the smaller the better. Many cheaper SD Readers don't like SDHC / MicroSDHC, so try for a 1 or 2GB card and see how you go :) Chilling_Silence (9)
1151838 2010-11-11 09:05:00 Thanks, jareemon. Tried it but it doesn't give me the info I was looking for.

I am using a 1GB card, Chill.

I have a working setup but I was interested to see if I could see what was different between ones that did and didn't work.

Not to worry, thanks anyway.
