883070 2010-05-08 00:53:00 . . . . . . . . so my neighbor (2-miles away, out walking his dog from horseback) hands me a CD with Liquid Player-6 on it: "I thought you'd like this" he says .

NOW - to ask youse guys - what is it? I Googled it and got some confusing answers - but that might just be me too! Confused, that is .

Is this an answer to my having to use WMP9 since WMP11 won't hold all my files?

WMP11 and I do not get along any more . (At least it's not L-based!)

I don't really like WMP9 - it's interface (the part that the human can see) is clumsy and it's not all that friendly either .

I tried to get WMP10, which I DO like, but XP says: "Talk to the hand" and won't let me do it . Something about incompatibility . Doh!

WOT? I had it here - it ran and ran well and last year I foolishly 'upgraded' to WMP11 . Now I can't go back except TWO steps .

Bill Gates, I hate you!

Can WMP9 and Liquid Player live in the same computer?

Yes. But then you have to think about the default file associations.

When you click a media file which of the two players are going to open same.

883074 2010-05-08 01:17:00 Cant see why not. You can install as many audio programs as you want on a PC Speedy Gonzales (78)
883075 2010-05-08 01:17:00 I imagine so, as much as quirky MS applications can co-exist with others.... johcar (6283)

Thanks.

XP says that WMP10 is incompatible with my Windows installation. That's just nuts, right?

OK - UPDATE on Liquid Player 6.
It makes my computer very angry - so angry that it cycles though boot-shutdown-reboot-shutdown- etc.

I went into Safe Mode and killed it and then ran CCleaner from there after "Add/Remove Programs".

Whew! Gone and all re-booted well and normally again.

I really still want WMP10 again though. :crying

I might try a third-party installation of WMP10.
