2010-05-06 07:28:00 | I am getting pissed at all these corporates trademarking the English language....even names! So Jessica Watson's boat is called something's Pink Lady. Now the apple company who sells Pink Lady apples think they have the rights to the name. Why? Boats does not equal apples. These *******s are ruining the world. And if I remember correctly, Dell sued some guy, whose last name is also Dell, for naming his own family business Dell. What can be done about this? I shudder to think what will happen in the near future - you'll get sued every time you speak because someone somewhere will copyright all the words in the English language!!

2010-05-06 08:35:00 | The boat thing is stupid, I didn't even know about the apple company and they went and made a big deal about it in front of the media. FAIL. | icow (15313) | |
2010-05-06 20:53:00 | They are just trying it on, there is absolutely nothing specific that ties "Pink Lady" exclusively to apples. Long before the name was given to apples it was a 1930s cocktail, cocktails.about.com ..........also according to Google, a tv series and jap pop duo en.wikipedia.org

2010-05-07 07:26:00 | Trademark infingment only applies if you use the same name in the same or similar industries. Tell that to apple computers. They want woolworths/countdown to stop using an apple logo, as they think people could get confused. These big companies can be bullies.

2010-05-07 07:46:00 | Apple computers? I'd give my iTeeth to draw royalties for their flagrant theft of a bitten apple, a custom evolved before Jobs was even cloned off a pet rock. My ancestors and others are all in line for some serious compo here, and the best part is the fanboys will be coughing up the $$$$$$$.50 | R2x1 (4628) | |
