882646 2010-05-06 05:04:00 An old account and I wanted to see if it still existed .

It does .

It also has more than 36,000 e-mails in it that I want to remove .

Except for clicking on the 25 at a time and then deleting them as apparently the ONLY way to get rid of them, is there a better way to empty this huge mailbox?

882650 2010-05-06 05:38:00 Did you try Ctrl+A to select all?
Or does that only give you 25 as well?

Hm .

That just highlights all the text on the whole page and then I get the same message about not selecting something .

I may be here for a few weeks this way!

882652 2010-05-06 05:53:00 Found IT!

I hadda upgrade to the new e-mail system and it's offered as an option to delete 25,000 at a time.

Silly Yabbao!

882653 2010-05-06 08:32:00 You deleted them!!!??
Too bad about all those $$$$ that were yours for the taking if you simply sent them your bank account number or phone with your VISA number! Those poor bank officials must have a terrible job trying to get rid of their surpluses from relation-less people who died in car crashes.

Giving users the ability to delete 25,000 at a time seems to indicate they don't really expect miracles from their spam filtering.

A very good point!

Actually, if it has that many spam emails directed to it, it is obviously compromised. Don't know whether I would bother resurrecting it. Easier to get a new Gmail account (where the spam filtering works!)...
