It seems that racially based laws that give an advantage to maori are ok. I'm surprised at that one though. It is unusual in that no-one has made loud noises about it and screamed "rascist!" |

If they can prevent excessive drinking with in there own group which can lead to worse things, then what is so bad about that. Bit like the hue and cry at remote settlements in Australia such as Fitzroys where they have / or tried to introduce(ed) booze bans to try and protect the local people. In this case, the Maori's are doing something to help themselves instead of crying foul. |
