I click on nothing, just the mouse cursor running over the text brings up a shitty window with "no preview available" written in it.

Pure genius :annoyed:

And I'm about as interested in logging into a search engine just to make it stop being retarded as I am in a punch to the nads.

And as I clear my browser of crap on a daily basis I'd have to be logging in all the damn time.

Google is starting to suck to much balls for its own good.

1151933 2010-11-13 04:14:00 Easiest way I found to kill that auto preview garbage is for firefox, If you don't already have it, Install <a href="addons.mozilla.org Plus</a>

In your Preferences - Add a filter to block
|www.google.com

Kills instant too.. which I personally hate also..

Can't block the magnifying glass though, If you do it will kill the google logo. if you care about their logo.

This way I don't have to abide by their preferences panel. or login

1151934 2010-11-13 05:15:00 If you use Firefox or Chrome, there is an addon called Stylish which allows you to load custom css styles for sites.
Stylish for Firefox (addons.mozilla.org)
Stylish for Chrome (chrome.google.com)

Opera also has an inbuilt feature for loading custom css styles.

I made a userstyle to disable Google Preview:
userstyles.org

And one to disable Google Star:
userstyles.org

As well as one to remove the sidebar and other junk:
userstyles.org

Use opera browser. It will diable all google eye candies including the Image browsing. But of course you can set opera to be detected as another browser and turn on all those previews and other stuff.
