1151913 2010-11-11 00:02:00 I am using a fully up to date version of XP Pro with all SPs

When I try to reschedule a backup batch file, I am presented with the 0x80070005 "access denied" error message.

Up until a couple of months ago, my regular 2am backups have worked flawlessly.

A search of Google has revealed several three or four year old instances of this error, but with no recent resolutions offered.

In addition, what is a good reliable Registry Scan Tool to install on my PC?

1151914 2010-11-11 00:08:00 Only thing I can find is this (support.microsoft.com). But the hotfix may have been included in SP3 Speedy Gonzales (78)
1151915 2010-11-11 10:03:00 Doesn't apply to XP :( Zippity (58)
1151916 2010-11-11 10:11:00 Its probably in SP3 then. Use ccleaner's reg option. Try this (www.techsupportforum.com). Or as it says the service may have been disabled Speedy Gonzales (78)

Is there any reason that you think SP3 is not installed?

1151918 2010-11-11 10:55:00 Like I said the hotfix is probably in SP3. Thats why it said it doesnt apply. The service may have been disabled or stopped Speedy Gonzales (78)

be very careful with reg cleaners, some of them cause more problems than they fix..Ccleaner is not to bad -- But once again - go easy.
