885170 2010-05-16 02:27:00 Maybe their should be going after the person who first leaked it, and that would be one of their own. plod (107)
885171 2010-05-16 02:51:00 They are probably spending millions on tracking these thousands of people down and getting them charged.

They probably would have made more if it was released at the same time worldwide. I hadnt even heard of the Hurt Locker untill it won all those Oscars. And even then it still wasnt out in New Zealand.

And like plod says, they would be a lot better of finding the source of the leak.

885172 2010-05-16 07:30:00 The movie made stuff all until it got an Oscar. No doubt that the studios are trying to sue every one so that they can make up for the money they lost when it was first released and flopped. paulw (1826)
885173 2010-05-16 08:05:00 It made stuff all even after the oscar. Metla (12)
885174 2010-05-16 09:39:00 I agree they should be going after the peron/s that leaked it onto the internet.
Why go after the consumers?
Some of which may have actually gone and seen the movie at the theatre and bought the DVD/bluray even though they downloaded it.

885175 2010-05-16 10:27:00 Interesting how it's a 2008 movie yet only came out here a couple of months ago. --Wolf-- (128)
885176 2010-05-17 00:06:00 I was under the impression that movie company's had a method of embedding the name of the person who had a particular copy of the disc, thereby having the ability to trace back who the person who "released" it. SP8's (9836)
