884736 2010-05-14 01:19:00 Limewire is a extremely small player in Piracy (although well know in the mainstream media), not sure if any one cares if they close or not. Battleneter2 (9361)
884737 2010-05-14 01:37:00 I will care. I get a reasonable amount of repair work from people who use it.

884739 2010-05-14 02:11:00 Limewire has been a mild success. It has been active for quite a few years.

As I understand it, two or three more sites open up for every one that is closed down. So if you can no longer download from Limewire you can easily find another. Can't be all that difficult.

884740 2010-05-14 02:12:00 Really? Limewire and the lot don't even make that much money out of peeps...

Look at RapidShare, MegaUploads and worst of the lot... HotFiles (slowest and quickly gaining on RS and MU).
LimeWire has been full of trojans and virii for years. I can't believe people still actually use it.

This won't change ****. They might kill LimeWire, it being commercial, but what about FrostWire?

Meh, they are wasting their time and resources on fighting the wrong battle. They need to make cheap streaming content where they can gather ad revenue rather than fighting unwinable battles.

To quote Sun Tzu "He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot will be victorious."

Sounds like they need time out from the computer until they respect your rules.

When my son misbehaves with the computer I block internet access from his machine using the routers firewall rules. My machine has and always will be off limits to him.
