883999 2010-05-11 20:38:00 I took the woman out for a ride - well, it was mostly for me - but we went a ways into the Anza-Borrego Desert for a short hop .

Posting a few pixs . They are a little large for clarity .

884001 2010-05-11 21:56:00 "Snake-shaped' cactus.

But if you want pixs of our snakes - I'll work on that for you too.

I had a couple of baby rattlers and a red racer in our yard yesterday.

884002 2010-05-11 22:02:00 We are lucky here that we don't have any reptile snakes but do have the human ones.
:)

Don't you have any snakes there? I always though you were hiding in Ireland and NZ was just a figment of Mr. Mercator's imagination or a loxodromic smudge. I mean - who can live hanging by their toenails?

Yeah - I had three of the K5 types for a while. Gave one (the GMC version) to a daughter, sold one for another stoooopid stoooopid reason that evades me at the moment, and kept this one.

This is a 1986 K5 with a built 5.7/350 that is now stroked to a 6.3/383. You're gonna cry foul, but I get over 26 MPG on the highway, however about 2/3ds of that around town.

884005 2010-05-11 23:12:00 26 MPG for US gallon pretty good for a yank tank like that.
Personally dont believe its possible, couldn't even get 25 MPG on my wifes old 2 litre auto Kia Sportage with Imperial galloon.
