883626 2010-05-10 10:17:00 I'm looking at buying a 360. EB Games has a secondhand xbox with a 20gb HD for $230 with their 1 year warranty (not Microsoft), and a Xbox 360 Elite +4 games (there are only 2 that I would play) and 120gb hd for $468, but has a 3 year Microsoft warranty. Should I go for the cheap one and save over $200 and risk getting rrod after one year or payout more for the longer official warranty? icow (15313)

883628 2010-05-10 10:58:00 Depends what version it is on whether it'll get the RROD sooner or later.. I would be careful with 2nd hand ones. If you decide to buy it, ask whether its been (modded to play pirated games / and banned) from Xbox Live. If it is, you wont be able to play it online Speedy Gonzales (78)
883629 2010-05-10 13:22:00 I would only buy new.

The latest ones have the most reliable Hardware, they claim to have sorted the issues completely with the "Jasper" line of motherboards.

Mine died, 2.3 years old, I packed it in an old shoe box, Slapped on an "anonymous" postal slip from MS on the box to send it to them, I walk into the Post office, Put it on the counter, The lady looks at it for about 1/10th of a second, ah, That's a faulty Xbox isn't it, we get those coming in constantly.

:(:(:(
