| 1153040 | 2010-11-16 04:48:00 | Hi Digby I agree with some of the other comments. I have never had a data corruption on a USB stick (I am sure it has happened) but I have certainly lost USB sticks. Also they are very easy to leave in pockets. In fact one time I found a USB stick on the road, looked at the pictures on it and tracked down the owner. If you are backing up important data I would highly recommend getting an online backup service which automatically encrypts and backs up your data to a data centre. This protects you from fire, theft and the dreaded washing machine. Also some backup services will send an email to you to confirm that the backup took place or not. Of course you can then manually run the backup. |
