Fixed/ Made easier in office 2010 Normal View (www.imagef1.net.nz) when working on a document File expanded (www.imagef1.net.nz) and the Print menu (www.imagef1.net.nz) wainuitech (129)
883493 2010-05-09 22:33:00 That looks a lot nicer with a modern twist than Office 2k/XP but still the same approach. I have Office 2007 which entitles me to a free upgrade to 2010. Don't like 2007 at all. It was like everything was done at a single click at the corner. Nomad (952)
883494 2010-05-09 22:50:00 Personally I think they should still have the option to show the old style menu bar, the same way as you can in Windows Explorer by press the Alt key etc. wainuitech (129)

883496 2010-05-09 22:59:00 Seen that and installed it on a few customers PC's and while it works fine, it costs $$$.

It should be a built in option in office - obviously not hard to do as others have provided software.

883497 2010-05-09 23:00:00 Were your customers not happy :p

I can imagine if a large govt dept or a MNC rolled out 2007 Office, ha :D

883498 2010-05-09 23:12:00 Customers get office 2007, as 2003 is no longer available - Some don't mind the ribbon layout and pick it up quickly, others just wanted the old style - there is a free one that does word here (www.askvg.com) - the other one has the options to change the other MS apps as well - Get what you pay for I guess :D

Edited: just found This here (www.raymond.cc) the starter version is free -- may be worth a look see :nerd:

883499 2010-05-09 23:55:00 Why make networking only with other W7. Surely not everyone have new computers, a family isn't gonna do a complete upgrade of their fleet. Not true. I have W7 networking with both Vista and XP. It is Homegroups that only work with other W7 machines. Tony (4941)
883500 2010-05-09 23:57:00 Not true. I have W7 networking with both Vista and XP. It is Homegroups that only work with other W7 machines.

Yeah but why default to it.
I would think some people would be paying for a PC Tech.
I am assuming it is defaulted b/c that is what most people have or use?

Isn't it suppose to be user friendly, works out of the box

Some may think b/c it is default that should be the best combination. Therefore some people may feel urged to upgrade all their OS / computers to W7.

883501 2010-05-10 00:00:00 Well networking will still work, whether homegroup is on or off. You just cant use it with older versions of windows. Its similar to normal networking, its just a faster way of doing it Speedy Gonzales (78)
