1455808 2018-11-20 22:56:00 Hi,I have a Toshiba L500 laptop 32bit Windows 10 on which my wife has always used a usb mouse.
When I remove it and try to use the touchpad it doesn't work.Have tried the FN F9 button.
It's says it's working in device manager and in mouse properties all seems to be correct.
Any suggestions please.

1455812 2018-11-21 00:13:00 Windows 10 v1803 onwards has touchpad, and mouse settings. Go to settings & search for touchpad. You have the choice of touchpad off, on with mouse etc. mzee (3324)

1455815 2018-11-21 01:45:00 Do you have another mouse you could use to check if your existing hasn't died? I had one that died, totally unable to activate. Bryan (147)
1455816 2018-11-21 01:53:00 Mouse works fine. It;s the touchpad that wont work Max (8180)
1455817 2018-11-21 23:16:00 Try some of the other keys /combination as well. Had laptops that the FN + F9 ( in this case F5 in others) wouldn't work, either the space bar, Windows key Or CTRL key + F9 did.

Could also be a driver Problem, you may need to reinstall the Touchpad drivers, go to the Toshiba site, locate the model and download/install, or manually run windows update to see if it picks up any newer versions.
