2018-11-09 22:26:00 | My external USB-3 750GB 'My Passport' does not show in 'This PC' but is showing in Devices and Printers and Device Manager. Can anyone please suggest how can I gain access to this drive. TIA, Peter.

You haven't said what OS you are using but you can get to Computer management Via the Control Panel or Search. 9127 |

2018-11-10 02:04:00 | I have Win-10 Pro. And have used this drive in the past few months and contains files I have used before. In Disc Management I have a red+ at Disc 3 Unknown In the box Initialise Disc I am informed I need to initialise a disc before Logical Disc Manager can access it. I then have Select discs with a tick beside Disc 3. Should I select GUID or MBR?

2018-11-10 02:17:00 | Is there anything of importance on the drive ? Looks like its lost its partitioning, (could be a partial drive failure) which means unless you're careful you WILL lose everything on that drive . You may need to run data recovery software over the drive if you want anything back from it . Have read of these - along with Options: some things to try : . com/fix-must-initialize-disk-logical-disk-manager-can-access/" target="_blank">appuals . com . easeus . com/datarecoverywizard/free-data-recovery-software . htm" target="_blank">www . easeus . com Instructions from Easeus . easeus . com/storage-media-recovery/you-must-initialize-a-disk-before-logical-disk-manager-can-access-it . html" target="_blank">www . easeus . com

2018-11-11 20:13:00 | Ask yourself, how important is the data on the drive. If its critical data, STOP playing with it, DO NOT plug it back in, take it to a data recovery specialist. (Not a PC repair shop) You could be making any data recovery impossible by powering it up If the data isnt worst $1000 for a data recovery, then carry as usual Otherwise, plugging in a failing drive can could cause it to scratch up the platters. I know of that happening
