| 1457699 | 2019-02-02 09:06:00 | that looks like a mulching plug for a ride on lawn mower, unless your referring to the triangle piece sticking out towards the center . Could be . I have - like I said - another one of these to install before the weather gets nice and the grass starts turning green again . Tomorrow the weather guessers say we are going to have either Rain, Snow with Rain, Snow or Wind or Blowing Snow - for a measurable amount, the first time this winter here in Montana --- these next two days . MEASURABLE means anything from maybe a white dusting -----> possibly up to 40 feet of snow . It's all according to how your bugaloo's hanging I guess . Speaking of "Bugaloos" - here's The Wolfman Jack from The Mighty 1090, XERB in Los Angeles . . . . be/S0cMkvjZmoI" target="_blank">youtu . be Any of youse guys ever hear him on the radio? He was in the movie: American Graffiti . |

| 1457701 | 2019-02-02 09:27:00 | Get a battery powered electric model. I bought a Stihl 420 last year (on special!) They are a bit expensive, but it has plenty of power, and ploughs into long grass with little trouble. You've got to get an electric mower that uses Free Range Electricity, this battery stuff is ethically and morally indefensible ;) |

| 1457703 | 2019-02-03 23:10:00 | For what it is worth - a lawn guy in North Canterbury told me that mulching lawns is a Bad Thing. According to him, lawns that are mulched get clogged up around each grass plant and can't get access to sufficient oxygen for healthy growth. In due course the grass suffers from being smothered. He said you can sometimes revive it by aerating, using a particular tool for the process. And you need to de-thatch a mulched lawn from time to time. Of course it depends on how lawn proud you are... | John H (8) | ||

I gave up on lawn a good few years ago. I now have grass which Greenacres cut for me every 2 weeks. I feel so much better about it now. :) Ken |
