Latest is 1803 update, but I see where Adobe Flash did an automatic update, got rid of it, but still have a screenfull of shite, no icons, some shite up the l/h side and worthless. Thank god for this XP machine. Have blocked BH's W10 update from downloading until next Thursday and will push that date on. Thought they were supposed to fix this cr!p on 1809. lurking. |

ANYTHING to do with adobe updates I'm ALWAYS very careful to look at. If you go to adobes site when they push out an update you really have to look CAREFULLY as to what else they are adding in. They usually have something Pre-ticked which doesn't stand out. Often its some sort of McAfee Scan crap, AGAIN its not hidden but its designed in such a way as to not stand out, its hiding in plain site :) You See the Adobe Icon on the Left, drawn to the Install button on the right and miss the middle box :waughh: 9222 Then people say " how did that get there, I didn't install it" -- Wanna bet ;) you didn't untick the option to install it. The adobe updates Via windows update don't have the "extra's" Added in :) as for changing to Tablet mode -- That's why I disable the notifications, OR remove some options ( Tablet mode) sometimes a notification will pop up, its clicked and by mistake - HELLOOOOOO What's going on - Mode changed or something disabled. |

| 1455038 | 2018-12-08 21:26:00 | Flash Player is Integrated into Edge Browser, it cant be downloaded separately as an update like other browser options, its pushed out Via MS updates (as shown) . Never had any problems with the Flash updates, and they don't carry extras like McAfee addons. |

Lets list them -- Time to install -- Depends on the specs of the computer, the amount of data and installed programs. Done upgrades from a new 1803 to 1809 in about 30 minutes, computers with lots of data several hours. USB drive twice -- Corrupted OS - Fix it. Again Windows has had this problem for years, OS is simply damaged. If you Goggle it, theres one reg key you alter = Fixed. Control panel - Its there - always has been, if your waiting for it to show like W7, not going to happen, in fact its slowly being removed completely, if you want it like W7 then go back to W7. I've actually got the control panel on the Right click menu: Easy to do, google is your friend. 9214 Drivers -- What drivers ?? Blame the software manufacture for not providing newer drivers ( AMD are the worst). Message re USB drive -- Been doing that for years, Reason- There's a problem with the USB drive or OS some place. Theres plenty of advise if you goggle it to tell you why its doing it. A LOT of people complain yet wont even attempt to sort out basic house keeping. Its amazing the amount of people who think an upgrade will fix faults - Doesn't happen. All the "faults" relate to one thing, the OS is damaged. My point is that I shouldn't have to waste my time trying to fix things that Microsoft should. If I buy a new Car I expect it to fire on all cylinders but if it has a misfire I would not be expected to rectify the problem myself. As for the OS being corrupt, it has happened with all the many W10's which I have installed on different machines. The fault with the double reading of USB sticks is in the "Windows Explorer" because if you replace it with a Windows 7 file manager the problem no longer exists. Unfortunately I can not use Windows 7, or 8.1 on my Dell because there are no drivers available for them. I have been using Windows 7 in VMware hosted by Mint. |
