| 1455677 | 2018-11-17 20:56:00 | How do I contact admins in Press F1: I have a question to ask them as to why I can sign into my account here in this Browser page and why I can sign into it in the same browser on a Different hard drive and am not able to comment or reply to my own or others threads. Its ridiculous that when I use the other hard drive with the same version of W10 installed, that I am allowed to Log into my account but am told "You do not enough privileges to comment on this thread. Are you trying to use someone elses account?" Absurd!!!!!! |

| 1455678 | 2018-11-17 21:56:00 | Log out of PressF1 on both computers. Clear the browser cache, close the browser then try again. This has nothing to do with the admins. could just be that the browser cache has old cookies? |

| 1455680 | 2018-11-18 00:43:00 | chiefnz Hi. I did as you said and that did no good. I tried re registering with PressF1 and get a new Password but that failed and then it said it would send a security code to the email barmyxlo@xxxxxxxxxxx and it was then I realised the problem. It has my user name as kiotii and the email is for that old account of mine and the email is one I have not been able to access for 2 years since I was hit by the gandcrab ransomware virus and all of the passwords for my email accounts became wrong, and as I had used the same password for all my email accounts I couldn't get access to the security codes sent to my 'backup' email addresses! Now I will return to that HDD and sign is as kioti not kiotii. Should solve the problem. Incidentally, I don't have 2 computers...I have one with 2 HDD's, both containing W10x64 Pro v 1803.... the other one is on a 1TB HDD and this one is on a 80GB HDD and is good as filled to the Brim. The 1TB W10 I tried upgrade to v1809 yesterday and that was ok til I installed Updates an hour after the upgrade and then I was unable to get back into the OS. Screwed up something so after 4-5 hours trying to fix it I gave up, wiped the HDD clean and reinstalled everything using the Full backup I had created prior to attempting the upgrade to 1809 using Easeus Todo Backup. That was done in 25 minutes and is now running fine in the other HDD. I going there now to sign in to Press F1 with a kioti and not a kiotii. |

| 1455681 | 2018-11-18 03:34:00 | Didn't work. Everytime I try to log in as kioti it is auto changed to kiotii so I am locked out.I have sent a message to Admin telling them the situation and requested they cancel the account for the user name kiotii because for some damn reason the log on to Press F1 on the other computer is locked to only allow that kiotii user to log into it. Will see what comes of that. Strange thing is that the OS I am using on that HDD is the same as is this one and I cannot for the life of me know why or how that log in for a Press F1 account has been auto added to my logging into Press F1 from it. The browser and everything else was all fresh installed onto a fully wiped HDD of 1TB unallocated space. A real mind boggler that is. :D |

If using a Browser like FF or Chrome you'll have go to their storage locations for saved login's and remove from there. | wainuitech (129) | ||

If using a Browser like FF or Chrome you'll have go to their storage locations for saved login's and remove from there. thanks wainuitech. I went to the 1TB HDD to try what you said and disaster has struck the new 1809 W10 on the 1TB HDD, click to open FF and get message Cannot find this file. It may have been been moved/removed.Do you want to delete the shortcut (yes/no) The FF Shortcut was on Taskbar. So I rebooted and got message to scan drive for repair so did that and it said it can't repair the drive.... so I chose Advanced and tried Sys Restore...no Restore points!!!! Cmd Prompt sfc /scannow failed...couldn't do it.............eventually I get back to open desktop of the new 1809 w10 and am told I don;t have permission to access C drive so I take permission, FF shortcut on taskbar is now just a file icon looks like a sheet of paper, click it and it disappears.... the same is for the Snipping tool icon...click that and get window saying the file has been moved do I want to delete the shortcut (yes/no) .....Right click Start so I can open Settings and nothing opens when I right click Start........... use Search to go to control panel and once there I can't get any response from clicking Credential.click Recovery/Backup and get window saying no back up created, it doesn't open System Restore.......basically nothing is working in the upgraded W10 v1809. I don't know why not...it was working well last night and I had both the W10 drives connected to computer and the 2 external HDD's. Shut down, turned off the computer and went to sleep. Woke and tried booting into the new W10 v 1809 and got all this palaver I mentioned above. My decision is to Wipe the 1TB drive, instal the Full Backup I made with Todo Backup and then do the direct upgrade to v1809 using the 1809 mediacreation tool. Once that is all done (5 hours from now) I will just have to use the 1TB drive and not connect the 80GB HDD with W10 v1803. I connected that drive so I could come to Press F1 because I couldn't get access to my account in the upgraded to v1809 version of Windows 10 on the 1TB drive. Somehow think that my having both W10 versions/HDD's connected and shutting down the computer last night has again 'linked' the boot records of them like before. This is becoming tedious work. ciao. |

| 1455684 | 2018-11-18 22:41:00 | further update to my last post: all failed... uninstalled FF, reinstalled from web, still can't sign into Press F1 and that goes for all Browsers I tried..... Edge/FF/Opera that I fresh dloaded and installed.... same in all of them...basically I am not me, I didn;t get into FF's Storage locations to remove any accounts because I couldn't find where Storage locations is kept. I may google for that info later. Right now I have a pain problem trying to upgrade the fresh W10 v1803 I installed to the 1TB HDD from the Todo Backup. There is no way I can upgrade to v1809 be it from ISO stored in external Hdd and mounted in DTools or from a burned DVD of the ISO. I get told that I cannot use option to save apps etc because the OS I want to upgrade is in an unknown location. Unbelievable!!! I don't have the pic I saved made from snipping tool, it is saved in the disconnected 1TB HDD. I will have to go get it and save it to the external HDD....here I go again...shut down disconnect A...connect B...reboot...save find and save the file to Ext HDD ...shut down, disconnect HDD-B and connect HDD A and merrily go round. Another thing I noticed when I got back to this 80gn HDD W10 1803 that Opera Browser is installed and I didn't have it installed. I had downloaded/installed Opera to the 1RB Drive to check if I could get into Press F1..... I had Chrome and that has gone and Opera is in its place in the Task Bar.,,,,,,,,,,ohhhh and the info that I got when I started my computer this morning and it had the 2 W10's HDD's connected and the version on the 1TB Drive failed to boot was : Your computer has a problem and cannot start...that was all apart from it also saying "Stopcode:NTFS File".......... I am going to get the pic about cannot Upgrade/save anything and have to instal Fresh...........and I guess, I create a New Thread about what is NOT happening :D This whole upgrade is becoming a tiresome fiasco imho. | kioti (17360) | ||

| 1455686 | 2018-11-18 23:35:00 | More trouble that its worth really...... after installing W10 x64 Pro v 1803 to a 1TB unallocated space HDD from a Easeus Todo Full Backup, I then try to upgrade that v1803 to v1809 and fail to do so because I am being told that I cannot instal to the drive and save settings/apps etc etc because the drive is in an unknown location! Here is a pic of what I get when I try to upgrade either from Mounted ISO or burned DVD of the Dl's v1809 ISO got using the mediacreation tool 1809. www.dropbox.com NG?dl=0 I have had some real grief with this W10 OS I m trying to get up and running but I won't go into details here about the previous instals and corruptions etc etc. I will just give the details of the one I did today. Finding on restart of computer today the fresh installed from easeus todo backup of w10 v1803 and upgraded to w10 v1809 using the mediacreation 1809 tool and direct upgrading the v1803 had failed to start today. Message onscreen said my computer has a problem and the only error code it gave was Stopcode: NTFS File. After a hour or 2 doing the suggested Repair disc and more I wiped the drive with intent to again instal from the esaeus todo full backup. I did both of those things and now when I try to upgrade the W10 x64 Pro v1803 to the v1809 as an Upgrade option, I get that info shown in the pic.'Why it is today doing that I have no idea and considering it worked fine doing the instal 1803 to 1TB Drive yesterday and then the upgrade to v 1809 directly as it was Dl'd in the creation tool I don't know what the problem is with it today. In fact when it upgraded yesterday it intimated it was going to do it on the fly (or that was my inference of what was shown onscreen) it didn't do it on the fly...it took almost 3 hours for it to upgrade the v1803 to v1809.... 1 hour downloading it (which I thought it was upgrading and not downloading but it had DL's the ISO) and then a further 2 hours doing the Upgrade/Downloading updates and getting them installed and sorted out and then the Lets Get Started bla bla stuff all again. And now today it doesn't open to W10 v1809, says its problems (STOPCODE : NTFS File) and gives me a merry run around when I wipe it off the HDD and reinstal the 1803 and try upgrade that and get the screen as per the pic. The only thing I can imagine why it is saying the location is somewhere else could be because yesterday when I did the reinstall of v1803 using the esaeus todo backup was that I had done that using the easeus WinPE disc and today I did the reinstall of w10 v1803 from the easeus todo backup from the open into W10 v1803 and the easeus todo backup is on the external HDD and the Easeus todao backup app is on the HDD that is NOT the 1TB HDD to which the easeus backup was installed. Longshot that one and a shame I cannot remember exactly what process I used to get the Backup of the v1803 onto the 1TB Drive. Maybe its going to be a long haul day trying out all the options. Or at the end of the day, I wipe the drive again which I am going to have to do, get W10 v1803 installed and forget about the upgrade to v 1809. I am getting really peeved with this W10 fiasco I am being given the runaround attempting to get sorted out. |
