1455542 2018-11-11 18:29:00 I have a full version of Windows 7 on one Computer and I need to put it on another Computer so what would be the best way to do this? The reason why is if you have the full version of Windows 7 you can upgrade it to Windows 10 for free. lostsoul62 (16011)
1455543 2018-11-11 18:38:00 If you're installing Windows 7 just to get Windows 10, just activate Windows 10 with the Windows 7 key instead. pcuser42 (130)
1455544 2018-11-11 19:35:00 You can only use one copy on one machine, regardless of whether it's 7 or 10, so unless you are removing it from one computer you can't install it on another.

If you want windows 10 for free just don't activate it, it still works just fine. And if you want it activated very cheaply and aren't worried about the legal "grey" area you can't get a key from Ebay for $10-$15.
Use those the same day you get them though, they are short term keys, and make a system image in case you need to reinstall later.

1455545 2018-11-11 19:51:00 If you're installing Windows 7 just to get Windows 10, just activate Windows 10 with the Windows 7 key instead. The that's the simplest way for sure.

W7 keys still activate W10.

1455546 2018-11-11 20:08:00 what do you mean by the 'Full" version on win7.
Full Retail , or OEM .

To use that key, you need to uninstall Windows from the original PC, otherwise its piracy
If its win7 OEM , you CANT transfer it to another PC anyway

Either way , it would still work on another PC :-)
