1454934	2018-10-25 22:19:00	Hi, I want to make up a slideshow of photos of a trip we have taken recently. Have googled the question, but you get different and conflicting answers and information. In making the slideshow, I want to make it viewable on TV; also on a desktop/laptop; finally using a projector. Must be able to put text on a few slides. Will add in some quietish music. Must be able to stop the slideshow to make a comment to the viewers (who hopefully haven't fallen asleep!). Don't want anything too involved - KISS principle. Powerpoint may be an option, though I am very rusty on how my 2007 version works. Picasa is good for slideshows, but can't pause it from memory. Additionally, I am loathe to use a program which is no longer supported.	Misty (368)

1454936	2018-10-26 03:06:00	You can do this with powerpoint or if you want to try something a bit newer without cost, libreoffice impress. Basically any presentation software sounds like it would meet your requirements.	Kame (312)

So far looks easy as falling off a log ;) Edited: just did quick run - all I'll say is f******k thats easy:banana:banana:banana and that was only a run with nothing but following defaults, now to have another go adding different transitions etc	wainuitech (129)

The text slides are very restrictive, though the program is very easy to use. I could probably just do a text slide in Word and then treat it like an image, maybe a workaround worth pursuing. Had a bit of a Play, and its quite easy ( one you figure out how) To add in text, add in all the Pictures first ( as well as music if you want) Then select Each picture one at a time, add in text, Move the slider along the bottom to the point you want to adjust how long it shows. Move to next slide and do the same. I'll do a video and show, may be easier to show than trying to explain, but put the two together. This wont have any sound of course, but hopefully you'll get the idea. Like anything its always a bit of a learning curve. :) Be back soon :D	wainuitech (129)
1454943	2018-10-27 01:30:00	Okay have a look at these, very quick and low Quality (on purpose to reduce size) The Finished video is the 1st one I did as a test run, then made the Instruction video, so they may not match fully ;) The 2nd one stutters due to PC running of resources :( As mentioned there is a learning curve, you have a play with settings, options till you learn or get to what you want - this video is VERY basic, rough and quick. The music was some random result I found for background and the pictures are from a lot of Desktop Pictures. Making the slideshow. streamable.com The 1st finished Slideshow ( low quality) streamable.com The Second Video created with pauses (it stutters) streamable.com Controlled (paused the slides) by the Default Windows media player controls, so if you had a DVD as the option you can use the DVD players remote or any other media players remotes to pause, rewind etc. NOTE: just discovered the Slideshow ACTUALLY has the Audio LOL :eek: the screen recordings dont ( thank god you may have heard some rude words) :)	wainuitech (129)
