| 1454640 | 2018-10-21 02:46:00 | I'm using Thunderbird 52.9.1 with Windows 8.1. I have just discovered that numerous emails which I should have received (some I've been waiting for) have been designated as junk and tossed into the junk mail log. Usually I just press 'clear the log' and let things go but obviously now have to learn more about this system. Most importantly at the moment I want to know if there is any way I can retrieve email from the junk log. Any help appreciated, thanks. |

| 1454646 | 2018-10-29 23:21:00 | For some reason I was having a similar problem with emails from the Kubuntu forum going into the spam folder. It was only emails from that domain that were doing this. I was blaming Thunderbird for the problem and I do have a filter set up to move them from my Inbox to a special forum subfolder. I played around with the Thunderbird filters several times but they kept ending up in the spam folder. It wasn't so easy to pin down the problem because only a percentage of the emails were being "spammed" ... some would go to my subfolder as they should have but still some ended up in the spam folder. I only resolved this when for several days I stopped using Thunderbird on both my desktop PC and my laptop and only checked my mail in Chrome via webmail (I use Gmail BTW). Much to my surprise some Kubuntu emails were still going into the spam folder. So Thunderbird wasn't the culprit but I guess it was something to do with Gmail's spam filtering. I've now added the Kubuntu forums email address to my address book and that MAY have sorted the issue so far, and I haven't had any of my Kubuntu mails spammed for about ten days now. |
