| 1487254 | 2022-07-07 04:27:00 | Normally I can use the scroll wheel on my mouse to scroll through web pages, folders, documents etc. In addition if I click the scroll wheel I can scroll web pages by just moving the mouse. In the last day or so the scroll wheel has stopped working on Firefox and Chrome only. Edge still works as expected. I can still click the wheel and scroll by mouse movement. I have found that if I start Firefox in safe mode the problem goes away. I then tried disabling all my extensions but none of that made a difference. Any ideas why this might be happening? Firefox recently got updated, but I've not seen any reference to the problem any where. |

That implies there is something in my other Firefox environment that is causing the problem. But why is it happening with Chrome as well, but not Edge? I'll start adding in the extensions I usually use and see if that makes it break. |

| 1487261 | 2022-07-07 10:25:00 | Yep that sounds like a good idea, it's probably one of the extensions you have used that is common to Firefox and Chrome so try those first. Edge is based around Chrome, actually Chromium, so if Chrome has the problem but Edge doesn't then it is probably the extension you use on Firefox and Chrome but not on Edge. |

| 1487263 | 2022-07-07 22:09:00 | This is all very interesting and strange. It appears the culprit was Logitech SetPoint. When I disabled it, everything came right. Then I enabled it again and everything was still right. This in Firefox and Chrome. So something happened, but I don't know what. I have not AFAIK done anything else with SetPoint unless it all happened in the background, but the classic help desk solution of "turn it off and back on" seems to have fixed it. Thanks for the various suggestions. |
