1487007 2022-06-24 02:32:00 Has anyone used Wordpress for blogging. Currently looking into this would probably not use their hosting unless it can be transferred to another host easily so looking for a webhost that supports Wordpress too and which will not break the bank for fees.

Any advice happily accepted.

Thanks

1487008 2022-06-24 07:04:00 No.
But it was an extremely common package when I was at Webdrive...as in loads of people used it.
I'd say most hosters will support it.

It's like Windows, you have to update it all the time.
Anything PHP is a target, and Wordpress a big target.

1487011 2022-06-26 00:03:00 I created many blogs with the easy to use Google Blogger and using free hosting. It was always compared to the more advanced WordPress, because of its plethora of plug Ins and near likeness to a website. You need learn SEO if you want visibility in Google and to attract targeted visitors, depending why you intend to blog and what goals you are trying to achieve. kahawai chaser (3545)
1487012 2022-06-26 05:06:00 Thanks Kahawai didn't realise Google could do it.

Will be looking into lots of other options too, its not for me but no doubt I will be dragged in as tech support.0

1487013 2022-06-26 07:29:00 In addition to Googler Blogger, their is also the little known Google Sites which has returned. Wix is another easy website builder which seems to become popular. kahawai chaser (3545)
