1486549 2022-05-31 22:37:00 I do have an AYWUN A1 3000 on the oldest computer here, and it did stop working some time ago. It was repaired by replacing the start-up resistor, a 1Mohm high voltage type. The resistors that do this job in a computer supply need to be good quality ones, made to take 300V or so across them. rumpty (2863)

That's a nice easy fix! I only had that once on a small 5v SMPS for a router.

Most computer PSUs I've repaired involved blown transistors etc, or shorted output diodes.

(Or for simple repairs, replacing worn out capacitors)
