| 1154778 | 2010-11-20 02:58:00 | I'm replacing a failed 40GB HDD in an Acer Travelmate 290. I got a 160GB Samsung but I am suspicious that the BIOS will have a capacity limit. Running HDAT2 it would seem the BIOS has the 137GB limit (www.imagef1.net.nz) I tried updating to the latest BIOS (v2.00 from v1.70) but that made no difference. I am assuming I should set the drive capacity to 137GB to avoid any issues? |
