Operating Windows XP Home Edition. When turning on the laptop normally a box appears and I choose which user I am and enter a password. A problem has now developed where the laptop freezes momentarily and I cannot move the cursor to type in the password. Sometimes I have to turn the laptop off and on again. If it lets me in and I am working away then leave the computer when I return it seems to have gone into hibernation mode and then I need to sign in again. How do prevent this from happening please? |

Control Panel > Power Options > Never sleep I think. I'm using Win7 at the moment so can't check right now. |
