886977 2010-05-22 23:46:00 The guy should be done for murder and be locked up for the rest of his life. Got some boy racers around my area loud exhausts and always going flat out through the gears. Wish the cops would deal to them. prefect (6291)
886978 2010-05-22 23:47:00 Z-nails and buckshots do a better job. ubergeek85 (131)
886979 2010-05-22 23:52:00 I see the Police and the boys parents are now saying that he is no boy racer.

886980 2010-05-22 23:54:00 Yeah, an RX-8 is a totally normal car. ubergeek85 (131)
886981 2010-05-23 00:12:00 I do know boy racers hate brake fluid applied to the roof and bonnet of their cars.
Was the accident in 30 mph zone if so it would pretty hard to lose control at that speed even in an Austin 7.

886982 2010-05-23 00:16:00 IIRC it's a 60km/h zone on Linwood Ave. ubergeek85 (131)
886983 2010-05-23 00:20:00 The car was a Nissan Silvia according to the Herald.

886984 2010-05-23 00:28:00 From two reports:

The car slid from side to side on the road before climbing the footpath and hitting the children.
Ash had been driving home through rain in peak-hour traffic on a "greasy" road. "He just lost control." If thats so, then obviously driving to fast for the conditions.

If the road was slippery most normal people would slow down. If in "peak Hour Traffic" and the road was that bad, why wasn't every one else "Sliding".
