2010-05-16 04:30:00 | This (www.telecom.co.nz) but if you want to use it, you have to have BB with Telecom. You can do the same thing, with a tuner. Except with Tivo you can download whatever from the net | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |

2010-05-16 05:37:00 | I wonder about the data charges, are data free or charged for  As into the future, I read that in the USA 25% of people don't have a landline  I gather a lot of my friends are like that, laptop and cellphone kinda thing, maybe with Woosh - for those who live in the CBD. Diff lifestyle, sure different to surburbia. Or Telstra cable for in the areas. I def won't make $45 in phone calls as you do with the fixed cost line cost.

2010-05-16 06:21:00 | This (www.telecom.co.nz) but if you want to use it, you have to have BB with Telecom. Thats not entirely true, you can still have a Tivo if you dont have BB with Telecom, you just wont be able to use all the features in it.

2010-05-16 07:01:00 | Also very similar to mySky HDi. Now all we need is Telstra to come out with one that records TV, rewind live playback, Pause Live TV and thats all the TV's covered

2010-05-16 07:02:00 | So all Tivo is another recorder except you can do a lot more than VCR recorder? I bet Tivo chews through a lot of bandwidth every month.

However, the main reason most people would buy a Tivo is for digital television recording - features such as pausing live TV, season passes etc. If you've used MySky HDi, it's kind of like that but for free to air and with a better user interface. I have a Tivo and it's great. However, if you're looking for a good video on demand box, an AppleTV is a far better option. |
