1153944 2010-11-18 10:26:00 Delete the IDE channel, the PIO entry is under, then reboot. See if it changes to DMA. If it doesnt try changing the IDE cable/s Speedy Gonzales (78)

1153950 2010-11-18 10:54:00 Highlight the primary IDE channel entry / (exit that window you posted), then delete key then reboot.

Does the mobo have 1 or 2 IDE connectors on it?? And is the cable these are on an 80 wire IDE cable (Is the end thats connected to the mobo blue)? Whats plugged into the secondary IDE connection on the mobo? If there is a 2nd connector (and there's nothing on it), plug the DVD/CD into it, with another IDE cable

1153951 2010-11-18 10:56:00 the end that is connected to the mobo IS blue. the black one goes into the main drive, and the grey one goes into the secondary.

And if i delete the primary ide channel entry, wont it stop recognising my hard drive?
