885265 2010-05-16 08:57:00 Friend of mine has Orcon because they do not charge for TV-on-demand. Even so, she went over her 50Gb cap! Claims her kids watch a lot of YouTubes, among other usage... Strommer (42)

885269 2010-05-16 11:21:00 I dont go any where near Courtney place, last time I was there was a couple years ago visiting a persons work.

A Demo unit is no good to most people -- they want to see something up and working in their homes. Its taking telstra way to long to keep in touch with other Developments Eg: the PVR's.

As they say " NOWS good"

885270 2010-05-16 11:38:00 The reason they haven't been pushing it that hard (TelstraClear DVR) is because, well, it's kinda rubbish. It lags like hell. Still needs some work done on the software, but it's still coming out. They shoulda just coded it in C, but they went for Java... Sure, makes it easier for the coders, but Java isn't the best language for this situation.

885271 2010-05-16 23:37:00 Our Tivo is great ... we paid cash for it outright ... once you set your preferences it records many programs. Season pass is a great feature and it records all episodes of your favorite program.

There is not much on Sky we wanted (not into sports, movies or lifestyle programming). Some documentaaries and some history programs may be good. But I am not paying $50 per month forever for that. I'll buy the occassional DVD for that (on special) - bought a stack of WWII DVDs for $40 at the showgrounds when that sale was on.
