| 1153825 | 2010-11-17 04:38:00 | $88 + $8 and I have myself a half decent case and 500W PSU, what does everyone else think? www.techworld.co.nz $96 SEEMS to be pretty good value to be honest. I was think $110 for a Raidmax and 500W but Raidmax have pretty flimsy cases at that price (even some others). Any other suggestions (definitely welcome) around the same price or does it look all goods? I'm not building a heavy machine just a 95w x3 phenom and HD4850 (which was good on my thermaltake 460w but it's pretty reliable). |

The real bad 500W don't even have PCI-e connectors. So far i'll be taking a risk (albeit small). Any other suggestions. |

True that, I wish I could look at the PSU separately and see how many amps .etc. it has. Does V2.31 for the 500w psu signify anything reassuring? |

| 1153831 | 2010-11-17 06:59:00 | $8 and I have myself a 500W PSU, . Complete rubbish. They're cheap for a reason and I sure wouldn't trust my precious hardware to such a thing. Throw it away and buy a proper quality reliable one. |

| 1153832 | 2010-11-17 07:10:00 | This is another hot topic here :p Sure enough plenty of people out in the real world have these cheapies even some members if they care to admit. At the end of the day you should do regular backups, even good ones can fail or destroy hardware. So if you all you have is a $500 CPU box that's all you got to lose (provided you backup data). |
