1155048 2010-11-21 20:23:00 So I have here an old laptop and I can't install Window.

I've tried the Dell rescue CD that came with the laptop, my own XP cd, even BootPart... Nothing boots at all, all I get is a "checking system configuration" and then a blank screen...

Ideas?

1155050 2010-11-21 20:32:00 Yes, I get on the CD fine. It starts booting from the CD, it flashes "checking system blah blah blah" for a split second and then a blank screen. Cato (6936)

Nada, just a blank screen (but it's still on). The activity light be constantly on, although there is no cd or HDD activity.

Yeah, has Fedora 6 on it. Have to get rid of that...

Win2k3's install started properly, so I'm going with that for the moment.
