888466 2010-05-27 00:18:00 Anyone watch the SPCA program on TV1 last night. The first part of the progam to do with that nearly starved to death dog. You wonder how people can be so cruel. Anyway the justice system is starting to get tough on these sort of people. I see the person got 250 hrs community service work and banned from owning a dog for 5 years and a fine which I can't remember how much it was.

888468 2010-05-27 05:55:00 Hard to watch what other so-called humans can subject animals to. The SPCA officer was in tears when saying how the dog had to be put down.

As for the misguided woman with all those sick cats - man, why do they do it? How could she live with them in that condition? They must have been in a lot of pain so it's not really 'helping' them.

I sometimes wonder (but not for long) who really SHOULD be euthanased.

888469 2010-05-27 06:22:00 Cruelty to others, whether animal or human is reprehensible in my opinion.
Do we all know that the animals we are eating have been treated with respect?
Or is this a privilege reserved for pets only?

The first successful child abuse case was in America and is usually called the Mary Ellen case. The case had to be taken to court by the Yank equivalent of the RSPCA because there was a law against cruelty to animals but there was no law against cruelty to children.
