888236 2010-05-25 22:04:00 From the NZHerald (www.nzherald.co.nz) we are reliably informed that Opotiki should expect 100mls of rain.
My word, that is getting area forecasts down to a fine art, when they can forecast with such accuracy that we know with newspaper accuracy that a cupful of water will fall over a district. I guess somebody knows the area of Opotiki, but a wild guess is that it is a fair few Hectares (ish). I am not too sure of the exact numbers, but I would like to know what civil defence recommends we do when threatened with the possibility of up to a drop of water per street hurtling down at dangerous speeds.
These new predictive measures are going to be a bit harder to adapt to than decimal currency, so could we have a jingle to assist us please?

(Possibly I am making a rash assumption here, but it seems unlikely that there will be a deluge of real estate listings, or rather more unpleasant to contemplate, a shower of major league soccer drop-outs. Either prospect is abhorrent.)

888240 2010-05-26 00:37:00 You can't convince me that 100 ml of water did that - most of that lot must be someone else's water just passing through. (This 2004 water took a long time to get here though.) R2x1 (4628)

Sigh.

Another Philistine. Very much those who would put Tomato sauce on fillet steak.

Taste is in the mouth, not out of a "would be if you could be" book!

Ken

888243 2010-05-26 07:04:00 Snap lol But I agree with Sweep, it already contains some degree of water, why add to it? hueybot3000 (3646)

I heard from an expert that whiskey should have a small dash of water to bring the full flavour out.
