| 887519 | 2010-05-24 01:05:00 | Just want to know your views. No excessive ones please. I thought maybe a $59.95 2 or 4Mbit 80GB then dialup speed or $1/0.50 (depend on the speed) per GB. Fit for most families who wanna contain their bills. Streams fine. Not designed for movie downloads  Don't know about high users though. If you say much more data and higher speeds, then we might get back to the same old issues .... But some ISPs have that like Orcon I think - not cheap I heard. Perhaps something like that. :) |

| 887520 | 2010-05-24 01:22:00 | Telecom would not sell data so cheap simply because they would have to lower capacity charges to other ISP's. There is very little real competition in NZ, all we can do is wait for the government to sort FTTD and then look at sorting data charges, and if that means a public funded competitor to Southern Cross, so be it. Should add, Telecom are still maneuvering to maintain control. I just hope all the smoke screens of the past have been well seen through by "today's" politicians, cause after 10 years of watching this cat and mouse game its getting a bit old. www.stuff.co.nz |
