887732 2010-05-24 10:52:00 Who knows if it'll happen or not, but everytime I hear something will end/finish in 2012 I always laugh. Telecom CDMA network for example.

Oh yeah, you're all going to die Dec 21 2012. :)

I dont think anyone said people were not allowed to believe anything they want, but the same democracy also allows us to ridicule those people if we so want to do.

For example I believe that 'i before e except after c' :banana

887739 2010-05-25 01:48:00 I remember hearing about this 2012 prediction on a documentary where a Mayan Indian was interviewed and said it was a load of rubbish (obvious I suppose). Never thought this nutty stuff had got to New Zealand until I just saw some local singer tell the Close Up Paranormal Show that he was going to build a house to protect himself against it.

This link sums it up pretty well, no doubt you hippy types will disagree but seriously, why do people buy into this crap?

whatadick.posterous.com

You dont find it interesting that the Mayans and the famous prophet (whats hes name again?) both have these dates as the end of the world? Apart from the fact they both have space constellations and movements accurately time-lined

887740 2010-05-25 01:51:00 Yep according to the Mayan calender (and this is only if modern man has interpreted the dates correctly) the end of this current chapter in Earth's history will end on 23 Dec 2012 .

For those who might be interested there is a good book that explains as much of what is known called 'Fingerprints of the Gods' by Graham Hancock . While I don't personally believe in any sort of supreme being this book actually sets out to prove that our ancestors knew far more than we give them credit for and that modern man started way before scientists think it we did . It actually sets out to disprove the theory of God .

So for those with an Open mind it is a good read whether your Christian or Atheist

eh, how about Chariots of the Gods . . . . good read, and my interpretation of god . . . FTR!
