Might be a silly question but Im looking for a free backup/imaging solution that will take a snapshot of the physical data on the drive not the whole drive size (200gb of a 1tb drive)

What is my best option?

...Im looking for a free backup/imaging solution that will take a snapshot of the physical data on the drive not the whole drive size (200gb of a 1tb drive)...If you're happy to use a Linux CLI tool, dd is perfect for this kind of thing (or dd_rescue if your disk is damaged).
