| 1156556 | 2010-11-25 22:54:00 | Ok, I'm going to ask this question, and I just know someone will say "it's just this, that's your problem" and I will say "Doh!" and fix it. So, got that out of the way. We have an SBS2003 install with standard Exchange setup. In the last while (don't ask me how long, maybe a few months), in each user's Outlook (2007) in the body of the text, next to a person's name, there will be a mailto link, e.g. "John Smith [mailto:john.smith@gmail.com] And of course if you click on the mailto link, Outlook starts a new email but it puts [mailto:john.smith2gmail.com] in the To line, so you have to delete the [mailto etc to make it work. Outlook used to just have a link on the person's name and you click on it to start new email, no [mailto at the begining. I suspect I've changed something in GPO but for the life of me can't find it, and googling the issue has come to nothing. Can anyone please suggest what has happened? Cheers and thanks in advance. |

| 1156560 | 2010-11-26 02:20:00 | Sorry just saw what you meant - just a typo, I meant to put [mailto:john.smith@gmail.com] This is some sort of a system/setup/GPO/Outlook error though, not a type error. The typo was just me not typing in the post at the top properly. |

In Mail go to Tools Options Other .Down the bottom under Person Names ensure the 2 boxes are unchecked. I may well have backed up data files then reinstalled Outlook then reimported data files.
