2010-06-01 01:42:00 | Backing up all my data from my computers to a 320GB external drive a couple days back,Just got started on the third PC, external drive died. Bugger. Fire up PC #1 last night, blue error screen and emitting noise that was soon tracked back to the 200GB HD. Nice. No back ups, lost over 500GB of storage, and now I have to buy a new internal and an external HD. Awesome. :D:D:thumbs:

2010-06-01 01:54:00 | I couldn't afford the sheer cost of downloading video's, nor would I watch crappy compressed rubbish. Thanks for the awesome question though. :banana

2010-06-01 03:16:00 | I think a "Murphs Law" is due here. All IT personnel know Murphy EDIT: and i know what you mean about rubbish videos online. I wouldnt have spent close to 6 grand on a setup to watch crap pictures either. Blueray is where it is at for me.

2010-06-01 03:24:00 | 1. Please check the meaning of the word "awesome" 2. You should have been running regular backups. No sympathy here

2010-06-01 03:42:00 | pfffft, I don't seek sympathy.Save that for sick people and those that lose all their savings to greedy fatcats.Besides regular backups would have solved nothing, multiple backups on different devices would have but I'm not going to run 2 external drives, what are the chances?:D Anyhow. I took the drive out of the external caddy, mounted it in my PC, it found it sweet as, i installed XP on her, and for the ultimate awesomeness, all my data is there sweet as can be and the PC is purring nicely. So its all good, the damage is one dead hard-drive and an external caddy.
