2010-05-28 08:25:00 | Ok so today is Friday and I am ranting, why you might ask (or maybe not). Why is it that bosses always seem to promote some half assed dingbat to a position of junior management when said person can't organise anything, this week my work has been total chaos thanks to this idiot and yet the bloody boos can't see it. I had words today with said idiot when I asked did he expect me to do his F%^&ing job as well as my own, man I was steaming. It's frustrating I know I could do the job better and so could most of the staff yet we have some jumped up idiot with no trade skills put in charge of a workshop full of joiners and machinists. He is meant to do a stock control every week and yet we run out of materials every week because nothing gets ordered unless we ask for it to be ordered. I like working here yet feel i will have to leave soon or go mad working under an idiot. :( Rant over

2010-05-28 08:48:00 | Sorry to hear that Gary - we've all had to put up with knuckle-heads in supervisory positions, and it's never fun (try being an IT Manager, who answers to an accountant who knows nothing about IT!!). As Ken says, stick to your guns, don't do his job for him, and you'll soon give him enough rope to hang himself. Chin up mate!

2010-05-28 09:54:00 | Never met a manager yet who had a clue. My son works at XXXX and from what he's told me it's the same as you - run by a bunch of Charlies.

2010-05-28 09:54:00 | There must have been a reason this guy was picked for middle management, once he works out what has to be done and when he will be ok. If you make a song and dance about your firms management decisions you will just get fired. My advice help the guy out.

2010-05-28 10:18:00 | Yep, when I worked as a supervisor everyone under me was much much better at my job then me. I even had to fire a couple of the idiots for their crap attempts at their positions. In fact, everywhere I have worked the workers knew far more then the management.
