| 888932 | 2010-05-29 21:35:00 | I've already been doing that pisses me off having to still do it 2 years on though. I thought it would work out in the beginning too now I know it won't despite the rose tinted specs being worn by some people on here Your pissed off about having to order your own materials. Hell. I have been doing that most of the time in my trade. Thats what happens when you work for a small company. I get to choose my suppliers within reason. |

It is not his job and he probably has no choice in suppliers Do you want everyone working there running around ordering their own supplies. Get real. |

| 888934 | 2010-05-30 02:12:00 | My experience with Englander tradespeople is they always say its not part of my job description to do bla bla just like British Leyland. Good ol kiwi bloke just does the lot and enjoys learning new things nothing is too hard, peice of piss, good as gold, consider it done, easy peezy, no probs cob, piece of doddle, too easy, piece of cake, cost ya box of woodies, (ever heard and Englander say that) I did hear they said "back by Christmas" in 1914 but that was a while ago. |

It would appear his manager is getting paid for managing, one of his jobs is to manage the people below him, getting someone else to order stock seems a very good way of managing staff. Its a lot better then having a manager that tries to do everything because he has no faith in his staff |

Can't you understand it doesn't work very well when you have every Tom, Dick and Harry running around ordering things. It is part of this guys job description to order supplies as needed and that is for the whole workshop. If it was just for Gary I would understand that attitude. |

The trouble with that is Gary won't know what is needed until it is needed because while a product may be there when he starts a job, when it comes time to use it he may find someone else has used it, whereas the guy managing things knows what jobs are coming up and what products are needed for it. Some people have no idea. |
