| 888669 | 2010-06-13 12:05:00 | Another good use for old fire extinguishers is making a gearbox/ diff oil filler. Cut the Schroeder valve from an inner tube and silver floss into the neck of the extinguisher. Just pressurise to around 130 psi with shop air. The high pressure sure moves the thick OEP 90 along. I had to change the the o ring as the 90 oil deteriorated the o ring material for CO2. ACHTUNG dont unscrew the bottle before depressurising (with a match or similar) could get messy. |
