I have just done an XP install with a hard drive format.
Everything is ok except that I cannot install the dlink 502T modem either using USB or Ethernet. The modem was previously working with USB.

Device Manager shows a yellow question mark on, 'OTHER DEVICES', under which are:-
Other PCI Bridges Device
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communication Controller
SM Bus Controller
Video Controller
All of which have the yellow question mark.

Could this be my problem and if so, how to I enable these items.
If not, have you any suggestions please?

Any help appreciated, Thanks, Arjay

1156955 2010-11-27 06:24:00 Which drivers and where do I find them? I think this is a Dell computer, should there be a motherboard cd? Arjay arjay (1202)
1156956 2010-11-27 06:34:00 Theyre here ( . giga-byte . com/products/mb/driver/ga-m61sme-s2_2x . html" target="_blank">ee . giga-byte . com) . You need the chipset drivers (install these first) . If it gives you the option to install Nvidia firewall, select NO

The LAN,(maybe in the chipset driver install), the audio, the VGA (if you use onboard video) .

You'll have to find out what the brand/model of the modem (PCI Simple Communication Controller maybe a modem), is, then you'll have to search for them .

Or double click on this entry, once the LAN drivers have been installed / driver tab / update driver option . See if it will install a driver .

Do you know what revision the mobo is?? If its not Rev2?
