2010-12-03 03:11:00 | My newly built PC works fine other than the following: Everytime when I press the ON button, the fans spins for a second and stops (like dead) for about 3 seconds, then it spins up again to the boot sequence and starts Windows 7 normally. Should I be concerned about this 'abnormality'? Or, just live with it? It's a Gigabyte MB model: GA-X58A-UDR3.

2010-12-03 03:16:00 | Mine does the same thing. I wouldnt worry about it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-12-03 05:57:00 | Er......it shouldn't. | pctek (84) | |
2010-12-03 06:05:00 | Go into the bios and disable cpu fan speed control (set it to run at full speed regardless of temperature, you'll probably find it annoying though :)). Had a Gigabyte mobo which did exactly that, here yesterday.

2010-12-03 06:34:00 | Fan control is off. Its been like that since I built it. It hasnt blown up yet | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-12-03 09:10:00 | Came across another similar board (same make and model) but it doesn't behave like this. It must be something not quite right but other than that it is working just fine. I've flashed the latest BIOS update but it doesn't correct the 'not-so-correct' behaviour. Speedy, how long have you got this board?

2010-12-03 09:50:00 | While not the exact same problem, just lately, most of the new PC's Ive built with gigabyte boards do similar -- the fans run OK, but they start, almost appear to Hang with a blank screen for those 3 seconds (approx) Longer than Normal, compared to ASUS Boards, then run correctly, showing the contents of the BIOS (The BIOS Manufacturer and Version Number and other details). | wainuitech (129) | |
2010-12-03 10:07:00 | Looks like it's a common issue with Gigabyte boards. | bk T (215) | |
2010-12-03 10:24:00 | I built one with a Gigabyte board about 3 months ago. Did the same thing. Still runs fine. | Snorkbox (15764) | |
