1107069 2010-06-05 22:07:00 Back in 2000/01, I just bought a used laptop from eBay for around $1,200 I think . Sold my other laptop (I bought used also) . 1yr I went into Cash Converters and they ask you go to into this room :p Laptops were starting to become cheap back then from the toaster shops like $1,000 for a typical bulky lunch box design ASUS, Acer, Tosh etc etc . . prob in the Celeron class thou . I was thinking about getting a desktop PC back then .

I was told that I would get $300 for mine
I had a Thinkpad the X series, which are more expensive, same size as a netbook but has a palm rest, new ones go for $3,000-4,000 despite the crappy onboard video (shared memory) . It's very thin . 1 . 2kg without the battery, 1 inch thickness . I also had a docking "base unit", a CD-ROM and DVD-ROM and I upgraded from no ethernet to a 3Com ethernet (internal) .

What was funny was that if you go into the store they are making 100% profit on your sale . If they bought yours for $300, they would sell it for $600-700 and I think they can price that cos it can be a better brand / thinner design etc etc . .

Could they track the person down who sold it to them? like ****.
I have always considered the place to be just a pawn shop, had a look around everything seems over priced although I bought a gps from their online operation.
